I painted this scene en plein air in oils, in July 2020 and worked from that painting to produce this watercolour and ink.
When I painted this it was a cold grey day and i needed to imagine the heat of the sun.
Painted on Two Rivers handmade heavy rag watercolour paper, the pigments really sing off the sheet.
The watercolour is enhanced with touches of Sepia Ink, applied with a fountain pen.
