This painting was a year in the making, I started by the river on 7 july 2022, but got too hot to finish.
I returned the next day but the schools had finished and it was too busy to work there. Biding my time I returned last week to finish.
The most noticeable difference was the low water level as we have had little rain for the last two years, I didn't change the structure of the painting but, looked for the foliage and where the light position.
The unfinished work had been haunting me all year, I didn't want to finish it in the studio as I tend to work too tightly, IMHO
