Fishley Estate on the Essex side of the Stour Valley, is a good stop on a walk as they have tea and coffee in the church for a donation, there are lovely cottages and it is not far from Manningtree Railway Station
Since 2009 I have been an associate Tutor for the education Charity in the UK The Field Studies Council, mainly at Flatford Mill which was once owned by the family of John Constable, some say he was the first Impressionist painter.
This view of Fishley Church was painted on one of my "Walking in Constable's Footsteps" weekends. We were on a path between East Bergholt and Stratford St Mary
