During the pandemic I found inspiration difficult, once life started again felt I needed a kick start to get into my creative mind set. So started exploring linogravure, working in a very different way to my painting practise. What is Linogravure? The image is engraved by hand into a plate of linoleum in reverse, you can look at negative shapes (around objects) or the outline of the subject. Then roll the inks on to the plate and press onto paper. I’m still learning as I am with my painting1
